Vincenzo Distasio is 11 years old. He is the goaltender for the New Jersey Devils Youth Hockey in West Orange, NJ.
His favourite NHL team is the Montreal Canadiens because he loves Carey Price. He's also a huge fan of the New Jersey Devils!
"Hockey has been a big part of my family since I was a baby so there are lots of things that made me want to play hockey. My Dad played hockey through college so of course he wanted me to play too. My mom can’t ice skate or roller skate so she just wanted me to be able to skate and have fun. My parents put me in Learn to Skate lessons when I was 4 years old and I really liked it. My Dad and I watch hockey games a lot and we have season tickets to the NJ Devils games so since I was a baby I’ve been watching hockey. I’ve also grown up with two Devils players, Patrik Elias and Travis Zajac, as neighbours and friends so they helped get me into playing hockey too."
Where did you first hear about the Oneiric Base Layers and what intrigued you to buy it?
My mom heard about Oneiric on social media—thanks, mom!
What has your experience been like using Genesis so far?
I really like wearing Oneiric's Genesis Base Layer. I used to wear regular sports leggings and these are so much better because they’re made just for hockey and for goalies.
What are your favourite features of the Genesis Base Layer and why?
The Genesis Base Layer is more flexible than the regular sports leggings that I used to wear and the fabric is thicker. The extra padding is great because as a goalie I want all the padding I can get! I also like that the legs are longer because I like to wear shorter socks with my goalie skates, and the cut-resistant bottoms make me feel more safe.
How do you think Oneiric compares to other base layer products?
Oneiric's Genesis Base Layer is definitely much better quality than regular sports brands leggings. The fabric is smoother and more breathable and I like the rubber strip in the waist so they stay in place as well as the added protection.
